Coach Zoe

Meet Coach Zoe

Coach Zoe (Zoe Shee), Class A LPGA Teaching Professional

I found my place in golf through teaching, and it’s where my passion for the game has grown ever since. Since 2017, I’ve been helping players learn the game in a way that feels approachable, rewarding, and most importantly, fun!

Before golf, I spent many years as a figure skater and trained in ballet from the age of 4 through 20. Those experiences shaped my understanding of balance, body awareness, and movement. All of which translate naturally into how I teach the golf swing today.

As a junior, I competed in CJGA tournaments, which gave me firsthand experience with the pressures and challenges that come with competitive golf. That perspective continues to shape how I coach today, allowing me to better support players not just in their technique, but in their confidence and mindset as well.

Over the years, I’ve worked with golfers of all ages, from juniors as young as 3 years old to adults in their 90s. Those early stages of learning are something I really enjoy. There’s something pretty special about watching a young player make their first swing, or helping someone pick up the game later in life and realize it’s never too late to start.

Golf isn’t always the easiest game (that’s part of its charm), but I’ve found that when players are having fun, improvement tends to follow naturally. A little patience, a lot of encouragement, and the occasional laugh go a long way. My goal is to help every student not only improve their skills, but also develop a genuine love for the game that lasts.

My goal as a coach is to create a space where players feel comfortable learning, not afraid to make mistakes, and excited to come back for the next lesson. Whether it’s a junior picking up a club for the first time or an adult learning the basics, I focus on building strong fundamentals while helping each player grow in confidence.

At the end of the day, I want my students to leave each lesson feeling more confident, seeing real improvement in their swing, and excited to keep getting better.

10 benefits of taking lessons from Zoe Shee

1. Elite Professional Accreditation

As a Class A LPGA Teaching Professional, Zoe belongs to an elite tier of golf educators. This certification ensures that her teaching methods are grounded in the highest industry standards for swing mechanics, equipment knowledge, and instructional communication.

2. Unique "Movement-First" Biomechanics

Zoe’s 16-year background in figure skating and ballet is a secret weapon for her students. She translates her deep understanding of balance, body awareness, and fluid movement into the golf swing, helping golfers achieve a more rhythmic, athletic, and less "mechanical" feel.

3. Experience Across the Lifespan (Ages 3 to 90)

Whether you are introducing a toddler to their first club or a senior looking to maintain their game, Zoe has the range. Her experience with students from 3 to 90+ years old proves her ability to adapt her communication style and physical drills to meet any age or fitness level.

4. Competitive "In-the-Trenches" Perspective

Having competed in CJGA (Canadian Junior Golf Association) tournaments, Zoe understands the "mental gremlins" that appear under pressure. She doesn't just teach the swing; she teaches the mindset and confidence needed to survive a competitive round.

5. A Stress-Free Learning Environment

Zoe explicitly prioritizes a space where players are "not afraid to make mistakes." For many golfers, "performance anxiety" during lessons can hinder progress. Her approachable philosophy lowers the stakes, allowing for faster, more relaxed learning.

6. Accelerated Progress Through "Fun"

Zoe operates on the principle that improvement follows enjoyment. By focusing on making the game approachable and rewarding, she helps students bypass the frustration phase of golf, leading to more natural and sustainable skill acquisition.

7. Strong Foundational Focus

For beginners, Zoe emphasizes building strong fundamentals. This ensures that as you progress, you won't have to "unlearn" bad habits later. She sets a concrete architectural foundation for a golf game that can last a lifetime.

8. Enhanced Proprioception (Body Awareness)

Many golfers struggle because they don’t know what their body is doing behind their back. Zoe’s training in dance and skating allows her to offer unique cues that help students feel the swing, improving their ability to self-correct on the course.

9. Patience and Encouragement

Golf is a difficult game that can be discouraging. Zoe emphasizes patience and the occasional laugh. This emotional support is vital for keeping students motivated during the inevitable "plateaus" of golf improvement.

10. Cultivating a Lifelong Passion

Zoe’s ultimate goal isn't just a lower score it’s a genuine love for the game. By taking lessons from her, you aren't just buying a better swing; you are investing in a hobby that provides joy, health, and social connection for decades to come.
